With how good ERod has been at C, they can still do that now and they're not.

I don’t think there was an actual plan but in genos first few games they looked good together. Erod can play center where in my opinion he is MUCH better. Then u can put heinen/kapanen with him and zuck/geno/carter

Practicing clearly meant nothing because they never did it. This team had Blueger in the lineup with everyone and Carter was still playing 3C, so clearly you don't watch the games.

I'm not against trying it, but it was never the plan. They had ample opportunities to do it and they haven't.

Malkins 3rd most common line this year (30mins of ice time) was Carter and Kapanen. After Blueg got hurt it switched to the other top lines.

True true. The only slight on Sullivan is that he’s very stingy when it comes to pairings. The first and last lines are fine when healthy but the middle six definitely needs a shakeup. And I don’t see a trade coming at the TDL for a winger

The team doesn't have many weaknesses right now, but the 2nd line's ability to score is one and getting production out of Erod is another. Both could be solved simply by moving Carter to Malkin's line and letting Erod anchor the 3rd line. Once Teddy comes back the current 4th line ceases to exist and McGinn goes back to Teddy and a healthy Zucker goes to the Erod line. No trades necessary.

Tbf erod did all his damage before malkin came back and he was playing 2C/3C. Once he came back he moved to the wing and he’s had like 5 points since then. I’m not saying erod will turn into a superstar when he moves to the centre spot but he’s MUCH more effective when he has the puck and can create. Look at his numbers before the west coast trip and after then you’ll see

You can build up the fluke play all you want. But here are two things that are true. A. he's not that good. B. I wouldn't want to be roped into a contract with him worth anymore than what he's getting now.

honestly all the pens need out of him is 3rd line production. they don't need him to be crosby out there. and i personally think he's most effective as a center. fluke or not heat least he has produced better than what kapanen is giving (who has less goals then DOM SIMON in their last 9 games)
