Avs turn down this deal. Nothing against Kuznetsov, hes a hell of a player but Avs are not moving their 21 year old 1C signed long term for a 25 year old Kuznetsov (who I believe plays way more Wing than C? not sure about that) also who needs a new monster deal contract.

Orlov isnt anything special to part with MacK and a high pick for either. Original idea but this doesnt help the Avs at all going forward when they are going to be rebuilding around their 19-21 year old players.

Ultimately thats why they are even looking at Moving Duchene right now. hes 25 and he doesnt fit in with the younger age of the core guys going forward. Avs will be adding to that 19-21 year group, not taking way from it moving MacKinnon. Hes the face of the franchise along with Rantanan Jost with Zads and Compher
