Romanov is a solid physical LD who is an upgrade from Nemeth, Dvorak isn’t doing well in MTL but should be the player he once was, Drouin gives a cheap 1RW for 2 years and Lehk can play that defensive game which we also lose in Kakko. I’m not saying they are interested but wanted to see if I could make something work on paper for both fans bases.

drouin would usually be worth a second or very late first, but since hes being retained on for 1.5 years (~4.125M) id say that value is well increased to at least a mid first.

i want to compare romanov to kakko here, but kakko hasnt been great and romanov's been playing like a second pairing dman. however, kakko was drafted MUCH earlier. so i'll be nice.

You think GMs are just going to look at one short sample size in one season and say, “yup, 50+ point player!” He has baggage. I’m not saying that in a bad way, I respect everything he’s been through, but that certainly does hurt his value. He’s overpaid, pretty one dimensional, and that one dimension isn’t that good.
