That's a solid offer. Zary is the most attractive piece for VAN but other teams could offer pieces that fit our needs better (young RHD). Depends on what other teams like COL and NYR do.

Value is probably close, I just don't think there is a trade partner in Vancouver at this deadline. They want to be competitive going forward, they won't move one of their top guys to Calgary and Calgary won't want to move their Pelletier/Coronato's to Vancouver where they could haunt them for a decade.

I can't see Vancouver trading with Calgary but does nothing for them?? Valimaki and Zary would instantly become their best prospects and they get a 1st in a good draft.

LHD they don't need. Zary is a okay prospect doesn't really move the needle and 2023 1st round pick for VAN best forward who is PPG, plays all situations/special teams, on a team friendly deal and you get him for 2 playoff runs. I think they can get a better return from someone else and I don't see VAN moving him to a division rival unless its a huge overpay.

Zary + valimaki + 1st is probably a decent base. Moving Backlund is a big mistake though.
