Description
Here's my rationale.

Strome and McDavid played together in Jr. so Connor might be able to unlock some offense from his old teammate. They are both roughly the same age and both are RFA at the end of the season. As of writting this, Stromes point per game is a bit higher so maybe the Oil have to throw in a sweetner. Or let's be honest, take a bullet as compensation for the Keith trade.

rather keep yamo because he is cheaper and 2 years younger and we need winger more then we need a center

Would rather have Strome. I think his skillsets translates more easily to different clubs than Yamamoto.

I’m not against seeing yam go but part of a package to land a more proven player otherwise rather just stick with yam he’s got some useful traits.

he had a slow start point wise but brings way more than strome ever will. he is good away from the puck and usually is the reason for a turn over on a forcheck for mcdavid or dri.
He scores timely goals either game winners or game tying goals. and doesn get the aid of the 7 PP points strome has as he doesnt get any time virtually on the PP. on top of that he PKs and is one of the few oiler fwds that throws a hit....

oilers pass easily on strome for Yamo

Strome isn't exactly struggling anymore. His face-off work has improved massively, his defence and intensity has risen and his offensive production is returning. For a struggling youngster on a poor team, he's above 0.5ppg.

I can't see this being discussed from a CHI perspective.

Great...I just don't think many teams would see the use in sitting through a one-dimensional players 'slumps'. He either has to put on points, otherwise whats the point of having him in lineup?

If Strome slumps, at least he can do other things for the team.

What else can strome do? if he could do other things he would be health scratched by one of the worst teams in the league... he would have a steady role.

you do know that not every player puts up huge points right.... lets take your Ranger team ( assuming your a fan because of your picture) why have kakko or Lafrenière or Chytil or goodrow in the line up then... not many points. very similar production to Yamo...

As i said before. He is usually the defensive mind on any line he is on. He PKs he is physical all things stome cannot do... so again pass from oilers

Lafreniere has potential, Kakko does a ton of things for our lineup and has had injuries. Chytil stinks (you want him?). Goodrow plays two-way game, all positions, face-offs, does a lot.

thanks for proving my point. yamo still has potential. he brings things oilers lack in there lineup so they arent moving him for strome. if they move him it will be a for a player that thats not a project. either a Starting goalie, or a shutdown D but not for strome.

Clearly you know nothing of the subject at hand. Yamamoto brings much more when he isn't scoring than Strome does.
