Aside from that what does this solve for Edmonton? Biggest issue with smith is health just adding term and money to the same problem. Atleast when smith is healthy he’s a quality starter.
Underselling Barrie by a lot here I like Braun but Barrie has been one of the most productive d in the league for a long time no reason to move and even less reason to undervalue him in the process.

If the Leafs were to trade Mrazek, it wouldnt be because he is a bad goalie (because he isnt), it would only happen to clear cap space. Getting Smith on that terrible contract isnt something the Leafs consider

Don’t even bother guys. The same guy thinks the leafs can trade Engvall, and Dermott for a first too. No GM would give a first for those guys.

What’s so bad with smiths contract? He’s cheaper and far better than mrazek the only issue with smith is health and I’m not sure can say any better for mrazek who has a longer history of injury shortened seasons.
