But why?

Because Patric Hornqvist is too old and too expensive!

Greenway isn't signing that, if he was, Minnesota would keep him. Yes greenway most likely will be traded during the offseason. but a contender, championship team like Tampa would give a late 1st for him, or add a prospect to the 2nd round pick.

Hornqvist? Buffalo shouldn't be wasting so many assets on Dubois, our young centers continue to development and improve. This deal looks like Murray and it's not good.

Dubois at 1C makes the whole team tougher - the picks could very well turn into very good players but are probably 2-4 years away from the NHL- Olofsson and Mittelstadt have talent but also not the toughest or best defenders Quinn and Peterka replace Olofssons points easily and Rosen isn't that far away - Bjork also has some skills but when will the light come on for the guy, you see flashes but the consistency is lacking maybe a change of scenery helps him. Dubois isn't the greatest but he's a young legit 1C which allows Thompson to be a very good 2C - Buffalo retains their own 2022 1st for maybe Slafkovsky or Lambert. The team I have up while not a cup contender should be in the playoff hunt something Sabres fans and ownership needs sooner rather than later.

Quality > quantity. Jets say no big time.

Anyway, they aren’t moving dubios unless he wants out, which I doubt since he sounds like he’s loving Winnipeg.

He plays with all out superstar in Connor and potential superstar in perfetti so tick that off. He’s plays on a really good team (at least on paper) that is looking to win now. Hes surrounded by talent including a Vezina winner. And his family is in town. He’s also a fan favourite.

Other than the weather (which won’t be terrible for him since he’s Canadian) and the fact that the jets are playing terribly right now, I don’t see why he wouldn’t sign long term with the jets for the big bucks they’ll be willing to offer

I know who Dubois is, but I don't see the point in wasting the equivalent four 1st + 2nd for this player. He is not an elite 1C, and he will block guys like Cozens and Krebs (if he still plays in the center). We should have a good attack next season and kids will still develop, if we look how improvment roster , then for top 4 RD and goalie in a pair UPL. Dubois a good player but that's too much for our situation, it's only the first year of Adams' rebuild, we just traded Eichel, Sam and Risto for futures and McCabe and Ullmark walked UFA. They should be better next season, but gradually.

I heard either Scheife or Dubois will probably be traded and Dubois will fetch more value.

Not sure where you heard that. The jets finally have high end centre depth after not having a 2C for years. They aren’t losing that. A lot of jets fans want to move scheifele because he’s having an “off year”, but there’s no doubt that the jets are looking to sign dubios and have a 1A/1b centre situation for years.

The Jets aren't moving Dubois but if they were this deal would be turned down fairly quickly. Other than the firsts, there is nothing there that Winnipeg needs or wants. You would need far more quality in the deal and drop all the unneeded pieces.

So your secondary scoring just tage thompson??? Krebbs is getting good experience this year but he still needs to develop and Quinn has played 1 game in the nhl. But yeah let’s just put in those positions and set them up for failure.

Actually Quinn has double the games and is averaging a point a game. What I didn't do is give long term contracts to old players and put a RW at center (weird) and knock our cap space down to 2 mil.

So you basically just replaced Eichel with Dubois who is not as talented…sounds like progress. Cap space? Yeah let’s save our money and be a dumpster fire yet again.

There has not been any Scheifele or Dubois trade rumours from any of the beat reporters or TSN/Sportsnet insiders. The Scheifele chatter is a creation of YouTube. It was the host of a daily Winnipeg Sports Talk show going on a rant when the Jets were in a nosedive prior to Maurice leaving the team. He hasn't repeated them since the interim coach (who is actually worse) has been appointed.
