I have a very hard time believing Kravstov is worth that much even if McNabb and Smith are on expiring contracts. The value of keeping them around for the playoffs would heavily outweigh this return.

Yeah, in hindsight I’d remove Dugan. Actually figured without a prospect added, the trade would be seen as “not enough” by many, so was trying to just make it work to appeal to masses. This year will be more of a buyer market imho. So Smith probably should net a 1st, McNabb a 2nd. That realistically should equate to Vitali. It’s debatable how teams will deal regarding Vegas’ cap situation. The idea here is they have little to no leverage. I could also make the argument that it won’t matter and enough teams would want Smith/McNabb to negate it. I also might be overvaluing Vitali here. My thought is if Vegas goes this route to shed salary, a player like him would be way more beneficial than picks. If things broke right, he could legit be slotted as high as the 2nd line next year.
