Please take Perfetti away from those plugs

I'm not understanding the Mark Scheifele hate right now with this fan base... He hasn't been great this year like prior seasons, but he hasn't been god awful, can you explain why 55 is a "Plug" so can understand this.. Also, I bet he has a great 2nd half and averages a point per game coming out of the ASB....

Wheeler is not a top 6 anymore… drop him to the 3rd line.
Ehlers has been good with Scheifele, so keep them together.
Svech has been good with PLD and Connor so keep that together.
Re-sign Stastny for 1yr at 2m, and play him as 3LW if not 3C

This is an issue that’s been growing over the past 3 years. Constantly looking disinterested on the ice, putting in poor efforts defensively more than 70% of the time. There are many plays during games where scheifele could’ve or should’ve taken 2-3 extra hard strides to make a defensive play that would’ve taken away an opportunity on goals.

So this isn’t just because he’s underperforming this year, he’s also showing some attitude issues and lack of defensive ability.

In my eyes, Dubois is the 1C at this point. He does everything good, and excels in many areas, while being solid defensively. His chemistry with Connor is undeniable as well and they’re a great pair for the top line. It’s time to move scheifele to RW. But it won’t happen and will only make me like him less lol.

But I also think that the main reason he said “plugs” was because of wheeler. Wheeler has fallen off a cliff and should be on the 3rd or 4th line.

Sorry, I don't see any of that in his game, yes sometimes his backchecking is not the greatest, but Dubois has his moments too. If anything, I think people in this city, or supporting the organization have NO CLUE how lucky they are to have 2 STUDS as 1A and 1B for C making a combined total less than what McDavid gets in Edmonton... Not saying the 2 of these guys are Connor and Leon, or on the same level, but soooooo many teams would kill to have these guys as their No 1 C let alone 1 and 2.. Think you're being too over dramatic with Scheif, and will be upset if/when he leaves Winnipeg, unless Perfetti grows into the No 2 spot and they get an absolute haul back for Scheifele...

Yeah I live in the city and I can understand how sometimes fans can get too dramatic. I just am frustrated with scheifele after 3 years of watching the same old same old. I can see why you don’t see that in his game, as he does put in effort offensively and typically gets majority of the offensive starts. But i just find it hard to ignore his defensive incompetencies. The jets organization & fan base are extremely lucky to have both Dubois and Scheifele. I honestly won’t be overly upset if he leaves, especially if he leaves to take a bigger contract elsewhere. Perfetti looks like he’ll grow into a solid 2C at least, but even then I think Copp gets a long term deal and he could play 2C.

Duuuuuuude if they deal Scheifele only to give that money to Copp would be the absolute WORST move in franchise history.. Andrew Copp IS NOT a top 6 forward, especially a 1/2 C, look to the bubble let alone anytime over the past 3 seasons, he's been given chance after chance and yes in a pinch he can be useful, but as a F/T player he's most effective as a 3rd line player, whether on the wing or at C. He's one of the better 3rd line players in the league, so I can see why people want to try elevate him, but, he just doesn't do enough to be that guy.. Again, love Copp and how he can be elevated and such at times, but he's Mike Fisher all over again, wouldn't dream of giving him north of $4m for more than 4 years(guessing he signs in Detroit for likely more because they can)...

I’m not saying to give Copp scheifeles money, I just think keeping Copp would be great. He’s the perfect middle six forward. Great on the PK, can PP and chip in offensively at 5on5. If someone gets hurt in the top 6 he’s a great guy to fill that role. I’m more so looking at moving scheifele for a top 6 RW or top 4 dman. I know it likely just creates another hole at C but they have to get another top winger at this point with how much wheeler has dropped off.
