i don’t think i’d add dube in for giroux when we’re already giving a 1st. if we trade dube it should be for someone we hope to resign (like maybe if we got hertl)

As much as Monahan as struggled this year DeBrusk has been even worse, that would be a really poor trade for Calgary to make

What do you think of Monahan play? I was thinking maybe if we give him time but time fly by and he's 0 of an impact player anymore. I would trade him sooner than later. Hope he can get a bit of his mojo back.

Yeah, it's tough to find RH shot in the league right now and I dont think it's trending in the right way, just look at all the players from team Russia in U18, all lefties except Askarov loll. Canada Dmen were all lefties too. So if you have kids raise them as a RH shot lol

At this point we are better off just riding him out, nobody's going to offer a return we would be happy with consider what he's accomplished. Still better off just finding some chemistry

I like Monahan, and think hes a player somewhat in the middle of what we've seen: not a 3rd liner and not a 1st liner. More of a 40 pt good 3rd line center is probably his true role.

But his salary (of a 1st liner) makes any return pretty weak.... I can only think that you probably get a salary back, and a "flawed one" at that...,I'm not thinking a JVR salary, but maybe a trade for UFA Giroux with no Giroux salary retained kind of thing
