Description
Since it was said that Arizona wanted a similar return for Chychrun as for what Buffalo got for dealing Eichel away, this is why i think the Blues are out of the Chychrun sweepstakes

The first player Buffalo got was Alex Tuch so were looking at a top 6 fwd and heres the options we have and why i dont think we would trade them

O'Reilly: Way to valueable to deal away hes our number 1 center and captain

Perron: Aging and on an expiring deal Arizona would have no use for him

Schenn: Wouldnt wave

Buchnevich: This is the only guy who we could maybe trade i just dont see it with how good he has been in terms of point production

Thomas&Kyrou: Both our young future stars they are untouchable

Saad: Wouldnt wave

Tarasenko: wouldnt wave

Next up in the Eichel deal Buffalo got Peyton Krebs and the criteria i set for him was
20 years old & under 1st round pick

Bolduc: This could happen

Neighbours: This could happen

Last but not least Buffalo got a 1st and 2nd with conditions which we could do

In conclusion, we have the prospects and picks do go forward in this trade but i dont see any way we have a top 6 winger we would be okay with trading. With what i said above the only top 6 winger i think its even possible we could deal is Buchnevich but with that i wouldnt do that because that trade would look like

Buchnevich+Neighbours or Bolduc+Conditional 1st and Conditional 2nd

Even though we would be getting a very good young defender in Chychrun i would not want to pay this price

I like your thought process, the only thing is that neighbors and bolduc do not equal krebs. Tarasenko may waive to get flipped by the coyotes for more assets.

I think there a lot of flaws with your thought process and I don't think that the Eichel trade is as good an analog as people think it is. First, I don't think the Coyotes would be interested in a Tuch like comparable. First, Buffalo was very concerned with getting someone who wanted to be in Buffalo.. Tuch being from Western NY and willing to be in Buffalo was a big deal... AZ doesn't have that concern. Second, Buffalo is further along in the rebuild and has many more piece in place (Dahlin, Cozens, Power, Quinn) where adding a young vet like Tuch makes sense. AZ is going down to the studs.. someone 25 years old is too old.. that player would be 30 when the rebuild is ending and out of their prime

Second, Chychrun is cost controlled at 4.6 rather than Eichels 10. The conditions on the picks coming from Vegas would not have been there if Buffalo had been willing to retain.. where as with Chychrun his cap number is so low there's no such concern.

Third, Eichel had demanded a trade which forced Buffalo's hand. Chychrun has not requested a trade.. and to be honest the Coyotes are listening they aren't even shopping him. Coyotes have no incentive to move Chychrun unless they have their doors blown off.

I don't STL as a fit given their lack of a absolute blue chip prospects and the knowledge that any first rounders from the Blues would likely be out of the lottery since Stl is so good and will be for years to come

Simple, just give more of other good assets. And Perron could be thrown in and make sense as him expiring makes the cap work without any sweat off Coyotes back or they could flip him as a rental to another contender. The biggest hold up isn't that we don't have the assets to make it work, it's finding a way to make the cap work without hurting the teams strength up front or chemistry.

Well then their thought process is incorrect. Canada can't be trusted when it comes to the Coyotes. I'd really limit my trust to Craig Morgan and Coyotes fans on this.

Why the Coyote fans? Seems odd that multiple analyst have said the above versus an armchair fan without any insider access.

Unless the asking price comes down substantially, Chychrun is staying in Arizona for the foreseeable future.

Lottery protected 1st
top prospect
bottom six forward or bottom pair defenseman

That's the most someone should pay.

Chychrun is a good young player, but he's not a top 10 defenseman in the league. Arizona can ask for the moon, but that doesn't mean someone is going to pay it.

Because we're the only ones who actually watch and care about our team. The overwhelming amount of analysts haven't checked into a yotes game all year

So fans who have no insider information can be relied upon for rumors? How does that even make sense? I’m not talking about the on ice performance but who is on the shopping block/ask. You don’t think these hockey analyst have access to the same information you do? Yeah, some analyst post clickbait articles for revenue and I’m not talking about those.
