Kings don't need Holl as Durzi is currently working well as RD3. Also, I think that offer for Chych can be beat easily.

Nope.

Sandin will cost less for the foreseeable future, and Chychrun isn't Amirov and a 1st better than Sandin.

Imma say it…

Chychrun is great, don’t get me wrong.
But paying that big of a price for him is ridiculous.

Beat easily? It's pretty well Chychrun for Sandin, Amirov and a 1st.

What do you think he'll be going for?

That is a 2023 (likely late) 1st and 2023 (also likely late) 2nd, an oft injured Amirov, but yes Sandin is your best piece.

But you are going against alot of other teams who have their 2022 1st and 2nd round picks and more prospects.

I'd offer a top-15 pick for the 2022 draft (top-3 protected), a high second-rounder, Vilardi, Grans, Walker, and another B prospect for Chyrch alone. Tons of teams want a player like him, and his contract value is fantastic.

Oof. I wouldn't give up that haul.

Anyone that trades for Chychrun is going to have to overpay, and I suspect will be disappointed in the return. He's a good player, but he's not a top 15 defenseman in the league.

From a Kings perspective, the most I'd offer is a top 10 protected pick, one of Vilardi or Turcotte, and a guy like Walker (3rd pair D) or Grundstrom (bottom 6 F). Since Toronto's 1st round pick will likely be in the 17-20 range, I'd expect they could get away with a 1st, 2nd, Sandin, and Mikheyev.

Haha, I knew this was coming. I'm high on Chych, I think him and Doughty would be fantastic. It gives your boy Andersson some more time to develop and answers the top LD issue long term.

Walker is replaceable with Durzi graduating, and Clarke and Faber on the way. Vilardi seems best suited for center (from the limited Reign games I've seen) and Kupari, Turcotte and Byfield seem to have jumped him (for the moment). Grans and the picks are the real asset loss here (but we can live with that having Faber and Clarke), Chych could be the difference-maker of this team making the playoffs.

Don’t know if anyone knows this but Chychrun is playing awful this year. He doesn’t have 10 points and is around -25. I get that he’s on a bad team but giving up a teams future such as Toronto’s future #1 D man and #1 LW is ridiculous. And as of right now, Mikeheyev is better than Crouse.

Don't disagree, but Toronto is in their window now, and if they feel like Chychrun gives them the boost they need to finally advance in the playoffs, then they'd likely consider it. Yes it would be an overpayment and detrimental in the long term, but if it gives them a shot at the Cup, then that might be a sacrifice worth making.

Not really, What Toronto needs is a shutdown guy a goal scoring hard hitting winger. Foligno (Marcus) and Gryzelyck or Mayfield works. Joseph on wing could also help.

Are you confusing Amirov with Robertson? Robertson is often injured. Amirov got hurt in pre-season this year, doesn't have a substantial injury history outside of that.

Kings can have him if they are willing to pay that.

Only way it makes sense for Leafs to grab Chychrun is if Muzzin is in the deal (almost certainly wouldn't be), or he's dealt in a subsequent deal.

Could be true. I'm just saying if they feel like Chychrun is the guy they need, then they'd likely be willing to sacrifice futures for him. If he's not the guy they need, then obviously they wouldn't do that.

There's no point in picking up Chychrun with Rielly and Muzzin still on the roster. They aren't going pay a huge price in order to improve their 3rd pair LD when Sandin is handling those minutes very well already.

Like Caillen says Leafs have bigger holes elsewhere

Leafs would be screwed next year for cap space as well.
