I never understood why the Leafs signed Mrazek

This is worse cap hell for the Leafs having a 20 man roster. Arizona could use Holl for a year but lets stop the illusion that Arizona needs to take on players or contracts that don't want to reach the floor.
Maybe the Leaf fans should realize that Campbell just can't be resigned without decimating the lineup.

Yea, I'll never know what the desperation was to sign Mrazrek. Leafs would have been able to sign Halak (over Vancouver), had a good tandem, and then went to the summer of 2022 with cap space, but the need of two NHLer goalies. The silly signing of the unneeded Ritchie hurt the cap also. Leafs are flush with LWers (as is most of the NHL teams).

How would you felt if we had signed Reimer instead?

I would have liked it better....if just for term of one year. But Leafs management musta thought they couldn't resign Campbell so they went three year on Mrzarek. I still woulda liked having no goalies next summer, and the cap or as we know Campbell signed for four years.

I wasn't confident in Holtby but he has had a rebound year that I didn't expect. With either Reimer or Halak I certainly would have taken a chance on though.

Pittsburgh declines. Way too expensive for a backup.
