@chopper02 - Blues are not aiming for the lottery this year. Our team is literally built to win in the next 2 years. After that, Thomas/Kyrou will be more expensive leading to Tarasenko/ROR/Perron potential departures.

No need to cancel games but at least give enough temporary cap space to field a full team when there are covid listed players. Can't help covid when everyone is vaccinated on the team.

Go look at MTL’s injury list or OTT or NYI when they had covid issues. STL is not even close to having it as bad as those teams on either front. Not saying it’s good/bad, but STL’s situation isn’t going to force the NHL do anything.

The more I look at their options, they should've just retroactively put Perron on LTIR. He would've had to miss 12 games in the 24 days, but his timeline is uncertain and he has a bad concussion history, so who knows how many games they've actually saved by keeping him on regular IR. Could've put him on LTIR and wouldn't have used d-men at forward, could've called up Mac^2 and Walker sooner, could've used Hofer if they wanted, etc.

They're not aiming for the lottery, but if that's the way the cookie crumbles than so be it. Not their fault, sometimes things don't work out.
