Description
So, the lines I have no idea about for next year if something like this happens. I know Iafallo, danault, and arvidsson are basically clicking on all cylinders and I really didn’t want to break them up, but if the kings acquire a player like debrusk I wold not play him immediately on the top line so that’s why the break up. Just look at arvidsson. He was supposed to be that top RW.m, but never clicked with kopitar. The kings need to start getting more of the youg guys into the lineup slowly.

Turcotte just keeps getting hurt and my confidence in him is slowly slipping. When he’s healthy he does his job well. I know you can’t hit on all prospects but he’s a frustrating one.

Vilardi is another guy who doesn’t get hurt but gets into his head a lot. When he’s on you can tell and when he’s off he’s just lost, frustart

I like the value of the trade but I'm not sure the Bruins would accept. I sure would because I'm a big fan of Madden and the picks are quality trade pieces for the deadline or to keep.

I don’t think that’s what the bruins are looking for in return, not sure it makes them better this year. Other than that it seems like an overpayment from LA. Two 2nds and a good prospect seems high

I don't think the Kings should be trading for any more "change of scenery" guys. If they're going to make any moves, they should put together a quality package for a top-performing guy that is being priced out of his current team. I'd look to Toronto and Tampa this summer if either make an early exit from the playoffs.

If this is what the Kings lineup looks like next year, Blake needs to get fired. We have the assets to go after Bertuzzi and Girard/Chychrun.

I'm hoping for a lineup similar to this:
Iafallo Danault Kempe (Taking the bulk of the harder minutes)
Turcotte Kopitar Kaliyev
Bertuzzi Byfield Arvidsson
Lemieux Moore/Andersson Brown

Anderson Doughty
Bjornfot Clarke
Chychrun/Girard Roy

Petersen
Quick

Trade Vilardi, Tkachev, Walker, 23' 1st for Girard/Chychrun. JAD, Madden, Durzi, and a 2nd for Bertuzzi.

Last of all, clean house of that awful coaching staff.

Pass on Bertuzzi. I wouldn't mind seeing the Kings go after Filip Forsberg though, especially after he made it clear he wasn't cool with Nashville trading Arvidsson.

Not sold on Girard. Guy was a no-show in the playoffs. Wouldn't mind seeing Chychrun in a Kings sweater, but I don't think Arizona would give him up unless the Kings significantly overpay. Their Cap situation isn't going to require that they move him either, so they would have all the leverage. I'd rather see LA ask Tampa for Sergachev to help the Bolts alleviate their cap crunch.

I’d be on
Board with this. I’m getting super frustrated especially with the prospects.

I’m also on board with getting rid of MCC as coach and to be honest Blake needs to do something this year/offseason. If he doesn’t I’m done with him too.

I think the time to make the biggest moves is next season in the weeks leading up to the trade deadline. There's going to be a lot of prospects that are currently playing in the AHL looking to make the NHL jump next season, but right now, the roster is still full of a bunch of placeholders.

I'd shop around the deadline this season to see what's available, but I wouldn't make moves for the sake of making moves. Like I said, I'd like to see LA acquire Forsberg with the intention of re-signing him. If he's available at a reasonable price at the deadline, then the Kings should pull the trigger on that for the exclusive negotiation rights. Check in on the cap crunched teams around the draft to see if guys like Nylander or Sergachev are available. Bring the kids up into training camp and see who sticks and who doesn't. Then you can start to see who is for real, who is expendable, and what gaps need to be filled in the lineup. Then you can make trades next Winter to fill those gaps.

Who would you like as the coach? I wish Sullivan would get hired so we can hire him and Tocchet lol

What do you think about an extended Orlov or Lindell? They would be cheaper options. I don't think there's a Kings fan out there that wouldn't be on board for Forsberg

What coach candidates would you be interested in post McLellan?

I’d like to see forsberg. I think arvidsson would put in a good word.

Definitely agree on Sergachev and have wanted him for the last year or 2. Chychrun being obviously another one as I’ve recently done a CF post trading Turcotte+ for him.

I think Chychrun would cost three top tier prospects. So Turcotte, Clarke, and a 2022 or 2023 1st round pick. I'm not willing to pay that much.

He plays an offensive minded system that has had success in the NHL. He's currently coaching the Avangard Omsk in the KHL and has taken the team to the Gagarin Cup finals twice since he took over in 2018. He's also the coach of the Latvian National Team, which has done better than expected in international tournaments since he took over. He's a former Jack Adams winner and the players that play for him like playing for him.

I'm not calling for McLellan's job yet. I think he's done a solid job given the players available to him. If they do decide to make a change, Hartley would be my choice.

Blake played under him in COL too.

Wonder if he was ever considered before McClellan
