Wouldn't the Leafs be a zillion times better off, keeping Bozak and not having McClement. Leafs have cap.

Little "meh" with McClemment but I really actually like it overall. Get something for Bozy while he still has term and value, they need to make room for a few more cap friendly youngsters to make their way into the lineup as future support cast, while Bozak might be okay now and for the remainder of his contract, I'd rather get something for him now, and give Kapanen, and Rychel the experience to sign cap friendly deals when Matthews signs for 10M. Tymashov is stuck in the logjam anyways.

I have a few problems with your lineup. Moving both Van Riemsdyk and Komarov is a mistake, especially to not bring any LW back in the deals. I like having the young guys in the lineup, but why would they trade away all their veteran wingers, who produce relatively well, only to play 3 guys with 77 games combined? If you include Hyman, they only have 148 games experience at LW, and none of them have shown that they can consistently score in the NHL.

Ya the reasoning for bringing McClement in was for faceoff's he is a solid faceoff guy and someone we can sign for cheap. As much as people want the leafs to go out and spend I completely agree we have our young guys to worry about to sign in the coming years and leaving as much room as possible for that will make things a lot easier.

I moved JVR and Komarov because they're value is fairly high right now and why not trade them while they have that high value. I wouldn't be too worried about games played experience, we have the youngest team in the league this year and are sitting in a playoff spot. Guys like Kaps and Rychel are ready to make the jump.

Unless MTL can get Bozak on a discount, they won't be trading for him. They need a home run center, not another bunt. No disrespect to Bozak, they can't keep patch jobbing the center position. Its sign a big name like Tavares in free agency or trade for Duchene or go with what we got and draft center's like crazy. There are a couple decent ones in this years draft that the Habs absolutely need to target with their 1st round pick.
