I usually skip commenting on trades that are for fringe players but COL declines that one.

I know it sounds crazy but I might go for that Dallas trade just for the simple reason of getting rid of Benn's contract. We'd have to pick up a C in FA but our RW would be pretty good. We'd also have an easier time moving Gallagher and Anderson than moving Benn or Seguin.

Instead of Petry, Suzuki or Dvorak might make more sense.

How do you figure? If Benn and Seguin go and if Pavs goes in FA that leaves Dallas with Hintz, Faksa and Glendening on C and if you include Bourque then he'd have to play 2nd C which is a little too soon for him. Gallagher, Armia and Anderson all play RW. There aren't really too many good options for 2nd C in the organization.

I’d rather give Bourque 2C and insulate him with good players than add a 2C in free agency. Too much term and money and too old. I don’t care for the trade at all tbh. Give me Anderson and Dvorak for Segs. Cut it off there. Benn is over paid, but you can hopefully bridge JRob so he gets his big contract when Benn’s expires. Stick Anderson with JRob and Hintz and see if he can score 40 lol
