Despite a great looking stat line of 17GP/12G/3A, he's shooting an absurd 23% which is 66% above his career average and is unsustainable. Of his 12 goals nearly 60% have come via the PP. He's also seeing nearly 19 minutes a night and he simply isn't going to get that in Boston.

This trade is the risk of the Kreider contract going very bad versus the potential benefit of Miller becoming very good. Add Blais to Boston and Smith to New York to balance the cap hit this year and next and the Bruins should go for it.
