That's kind of what I was originally thinking. With Myers in there I upped it to a first because Myers contract is bad too. Dickinson is decent enough and was just added for salary reasons.

Alternatively Miller could center line 3 and Duchene could play with Petey

The contract was bad the entire first 2 years and he's going to be well into his 30s when it's all said and done. No way Nashville doesn't accept this, 16 games doesn't erase the implications of taking on that Cap hit for 5 more years

If he's a PPG player at the end of the season that's a very different thing than being a PPG player after 16 games. He hasn't preformed up to 8 million contract since signing it, 8 million should get you a PPG which other than the last 16 games he hasn't managed since 2018-2019.
I personally wouldn't trade a 2nd pick for him as he's not a positive value asset and he's almost 31 and still has four years left on his contract after this season, although that does sound like the type of trade JB would make...
