If that’s how LTIR works, why doesn’t Vancouver just keep Ferland on LTIR?

The Kings do not want or need Justin Holl, especially next near when Doughty, Walker, and Roy are all healthy and Grans, Faber, Durzi, and Spence (all RHD) are all knocking on the door. And that's assuming Brandt Clarke needs another year in junior.
