Panarin - 0.715 iXG/60 + 0.853 xA/60
Marner - 0.8 iXG/60 + 0.88 xA/60
Kaprisov - 0.68 iXG/60 + 0.68 xA/60
Marchand - 0.88 iXG/60 + 0.84 xA/60
Gaudreau - 0.75 iXG/60 + 0.92 xA/60
Teravainen - 0.89 iXG + 0.93 xA/60

I realized Lafreniere's on ice results this season are very strong, so I decided to see how his individual statistics lined up against some of the best playmaking wingers in the NHL. As you can see, he is not as good as them but the results aren't too far off. We have to keep in mind he has mostly been playing on the fourth line with Rooney and Blais, so it's actually impressive to be generating these types of results. Unfortunately, I just don't see how he has a future in NYR, he's never going to get a top 6 spot over the likes of Panarin, Kreider and Goodrow. I feel alongside a high profile center, he can be quite productive.

It's beyond silly. You literally stated he'd never get a top 6 spot over Goodrow. And he's 20 with solid stats. The Leafs are not getting him for trash, let go already.

Gee seems like pretty tough LAF if you think he's a career bottom end NHLer after just one year and one month in the NHL. Maybe you should be making trade posts for the 25 2020 draft 1st rounders that have never played a game in the NHL.

I'm not saying he needs to come to the Leafs, it could be to any team that'll give him an opportunity alongside other offensively talented forwards. He'll never get the opportunity in NYR.
