Don’t get me wrong I don’t hate strome I just don’t think that panarin and strome are the play anymore. And you’re probably gunna call me crazy but panarin is overpaid and doesn’t play a complete game he only plays defense when he feels like it and is a slow skater most of the time
Agree with most of that...IMO Strome is a "high end" 3C...which in itself has value- but only if he can be paid as a 3C. NYR are not going to be able to pay him what his #'s warrant...so they have to move him or lose him for nothing.
As far as Panarin being over paid- he was worth the money last year. To start this year even though he is a PPG player- something is definitely off...but he's not the only one. So far this year the team looks slow- always a step behind in chasing the play...really only Shesty and Fox have looked good. But with a new coach and new system- have to be patient. Hopefully when the players settle into Gallant's system things will start to click a little better...outlet passes will start hitting the tape, anticipation will put players in a position to make plays, etc.- and if this happens the players that look slow right now will look a lot quicker. But patience is not a "NY thing"...remember years ago the Jets owner hired Rich Kotite because "I want to win...and I want to win now!"...then they went 1-15. LOL
