If they are selling, they wouldn't trade a 24-year old winger like Gurianov. He's a part of the core that they would build around.

Uniting the Robertson brothers is a pretty decent idea

I like the toronto deal for both sides, but think DAL gets more.

Klingberg even as a UFA at 4.25mil far surpasses the deal David Savard got last yr, a 1st and more. Kerfoot is a nice player, but not at 3.5mil. He doesn;t have negative value, but debateable value.

I think Klingberg AND the retention is almost worth that package alone. Maybe take out Gurianov and Kokkonen, or receive back a TOR 2nd or 3rd.

Unless pavelski starts looking like a completely different player, or you find a time machine, he isn’t getting close to that.

That's true but look at how he's been totally mismanaged. He's getting like less than 12mins a night under the current regime. At least in Toronto they'd play him in the top 6.

That's not a fault of Gurianov. That's a fault of Bowness. If the Stars go into rebuild mode, Bowness will not be the head coach so that problem fixes itself without trading away arguably the best shooter we have on the roster.

Guess it depends on which Pavs were getting (even then IDK I'd do that much).

P/GP by Season
21-22: 0.37
20-21: 0.91
19-20: 0.46
18-19: 0.85

Granted its early in the season, but he's 37yrs old and production has been up and down over the last few years.

To me it seems more likely that they'd trade Guri than fire Bones. Believe me I want Guri on the team but if we can't get a competent coach I'd rather see the guy go and succeed on another team. He's too talented to let go to waste.

I figure that if Nick Foligno can fetch a 1st rounder Pavelski could easily.

Foligno was also a $1.3 million cap hit in that deal and the add on wasn't a former 1st like Beecher....it was a 4th round pick.

I get the notion that both Nill & Bowness are sitting on seats that are getting hotter by the game. This team is about to undergo a rebuild. Everyone except for the "rose colored glasses" Stars fans see that. Bowness is not the kind of coach you want at the helm during a rebuild. I know it, you know it, Gaglardi knows it. Also means Nill is going to be gone too. He's seen 4 head coaches. GM's don't see a 5th head coach in their tenure. Gaglardi knows a rebuild is coming & that rebuild starts from the top down, not from Gurianov on up.
