according to the above, Vegas will have around $9.9M in cap space to bring back $14.8M - doesn't work.

I like Pacioretty but he doesn't fit NJ's window. giving up a high value pick + their leading goal scorer last year for him is a bad move

Lol we’re not trading all that for Eichel. We don’t want to part with Krebs then you add Dean and Hallum. I know you want all that, but vegas isn’t doing that. That takes away the entire future forward pool

Cap hits and salary cap space don't prorate when you are using LTIR. The Golden Knights are not currently accruing cap space and if they traded for Eichel today and put him on LTIR his $10 million cap hit won't prorate (ie decrease) daily

Yes, but when you use LTIR cap hits and cap space don't prorate. They still pay the players salary but the cap hit is counted at the full value
