I can't see ERod making this team when all is said and done. I get why he's there now with 4 guys out. But to be honest, they should have gave the C role to Simon, who's much harder on the puck and is great at playing keep away from the other team. Even if he can't score, he at least knows how to prevent the other team from getting the puck.
I honestly think Riikola should be the the 23nd man, but if they go 23 it will probably be Simon.
I think they are best off going with 22. and the two extra would be MF and Boyle.

They are probably going 14/7 because Jake and ZAR are in covid protocol. Once they come back, I could see them going 13/8 and bringing Riikola back up since Malkin will be on LTIR.

The reason I say that is their defense is always hurt.
Every year for like the past 3 years. They are going to need bodies.
