Cant understand why either team does this today, vegas especially unless they plan on stashing him in ltir for the regular season- which is weird since you are trading guys off your roster, plus a first that is tied to how well the team plays without them.

Yeah, timing is all wrong, but its pretty awful for buffalo and pretty decent for vegas if the timing is better.
