I think that Edmonton might give you a second for Dermott, or maybe a third, but not both.

I think that Edmonton might give you a second for Dermott, or maybe a third, but not both.

Rakell isn't Dvorak, you're getting a 1st and a 3rd. Even this trade makes me believe the Leafs are overpaying. Oilers are desperate for a good defensemen, they will take the trade any day of the week

Why do the Leafs even want Rakell extended? Silly talk when no indication on what his next contract and how it fits in their roster. They probably don't have enough cap anyway.

I'm sure the Oilers would like to have some more good defensemen, like most teams. I just think they'd go look for one who is actually proven to be good, i.e. played more than 13 mins a game last season, for the price of a 2nd and a 3rd.
