If Sabres win one of the lottery spots they draft one of these player. 1. Nolan Patrick 2. Nico Hischier 3. Timothy Liljigren. If they don't win a lottery spot, the Sabres trade their first round pick in a package for Jacob Trouba.

Just because he is the first player mentioned doesn't mean that he is the main piece of the trade, actually he is the least valuable part of the trade.

It's the 2017 1st round pick that is the main piece of this trade.

Sabres are not trading O'Reilly or Okposo. They specifically signed them to be part of a contending team.

I'd rather lose Okposo to, but Anaheim definitely would not do that deal. I traded ROR, hoping Reinhart can become what ROR is.

What kind of package would Winnipeg want for Trouba? I thought I gave them more than enough for him.
