I'd put Miller at C, Zegras on wing.
And would put Matthews and DeBrincat on different lines

Paying Hughes 7 million on this roster is such a waste. Fox has clear dibs on top PP duties, making Hughes kind of useless. Then you’ve got mcavoy who i think everyone would agree is head and shoulders above Hughes at 2.1 less, playing the right side, allowing slavin to play his natural left side. Seems like a no brainer. If Hughes was on his entry level, I still don’t think he has any use on a team that has Fox on it.

Grzelcyk is a good player at good value, but you can do better

I was trying to fit in McAvoy (I can tell you're a fan), but the Hughes contract definitely made that hard. I disagree that having Fox and Hughes would be a bad thing. I'm in the camp of the more skilled elite puck movers the better. Yes it would be better if he was on ELC. Had Pesce in original choices too. Suter is past his prime IMO, but thats a solid lineup you rolled out.

Hughes just isn’t good at 5 on 5. If fox is getting the pp minutes, he’s a useless 7 million bucks. There’s probably 30 American d men that are worlds better than Hughes at 5 on 5
