This would be as far as I would go for Kaprizov. He is a great player and probably a top-ten winger, but there is a ton of risk for any acquiring team. He was a 24-year old rookie. He has threatened to return to KHL. And obviously has very high contract demands.

This is beyond laughable even for you. Yop, Minnesota should trade kaprizov for nothing and then also give you 1st round pick... haha sure. That you can make this proposal, then make up facts to justify this is head shaking. You also put janne in every devils, Minnesota trade proposals here. Kaprizov isn't only restricted free agent asking for money or unsigned.

MIN wouldn't even consider this IMO. A deal for Kaprizov with NJ would most definitely require Hischier going the other way.

We have been down this road before.
Once signed an extension with a top Russian winger, only to see him depart for KHL...and we got penalized for it.
And are still paying the price.
(and that winger has since played for 3 different NHL teams since he "retired")

It is reasonable to ask for protections.

Nico sturm (Rookie) : better than janne. Playing on 3rd, and 4th line Winger, C; he scored 11 goals, 8 less points, and and was a +10

So try again. Wild also have top prospects of matt boldy, Marco Rossi, and Adam Beckman who are beyond good

I put Kuokkanen in the trade because other Wild fans wanted a center and we aren't moving Hughes or Hischier.
And I'm sorry, he was neither -21 nor is that stat a useful comparison for players on good teams and bad teams.
