If I'm being completely honest, they don't look terrible. They are hurting a bit with winger depth but when Gourde comes back, I can see this team making the playoffs just because the pacific is a mess, they would be fighting for the third spot but no way they are getting past the first round.

Center depth is God awful.

Their centers can't compare to anyone's perhaps maybe Anaheim and Arizona.

But d is deep. Forward is deep. Goaltenders are good.

If coached well and they play stingy and things go right I can see a bubble team. But most likely about 25th-28th

I think their biggest issue will be being able to move the puck. Outside of Dunn, they really dont have a Dman who can move the puck or with speed.
They will have issues scoring. I can see them being annoying to play against just mucking up the neutral zone. those fwds are really not zone entering machines.

I would expect borgen won't clear waivers

Lauzon and Borgen are probably on the roster as extras or traded. Otherwise, they could get claimed.

Honestly it was a pure guess that because Borgen had two years left of RFA he may be waiver exempt. Didn't bother checking.

Nah it's a weird calculation based on games played in the NHL and age and age signing and stuff.

For example engvall was waiver exempt last year on his new contract until he played like 15 games or something.

The wheels are falling off for him. I really think they are going to struggle to score. Hasktol as their HC isn’t a ringing endorsement, they won’t be bad but I don’t think they will be fun to watch
