lmfao, chytils offensive skill is there it obviously needs to be developed, but his defensive improvement year after year are very similar to barkovs, once his offensive production comes (which it will) chytil (in my opinion) will be a 1C in the NHL. Time will tell

barkov is fully developed , chytil has been in the league since he was 18, alot of people probably forget that.

Chytil is nowhere near Barkov in terms of skill or potential
Barkov is borderline a top 5 center in the league (I have him at 7 but some people put him in the top 5)
Barkov is one of the best defensive centers in the league and has been close to a point per game average in the last 6 seasons
For the past 3 seasons, Chytil has been a 20 point guy and a 3rd line center on a team that is weak at center.
Just because a random chart from a Rangers fan on Twitter says that Chytil projects to be as good as Barkov doesn't mean its true

this why i dont take yall serious, the chart is just a visualization of his defensive impacts. A properly developed Chytil is probably going to be a 1C. Also, using points to evaluate a 18-21 year olds NHL impact is fairly dumb but go off.

In Barkov’s third year (a year younger than Chytil was this year, his third year) he was just shy of a point per game pace, scored at a 35 goal pace, and was one of the best defensive players in the league. Chytil is okay defensively, a half point per game player, and scored at a 15 goal pace.

chytil is very solid defensively and has made marginal upgrades every year. i guess time will tell, im not saying they are going to follow the same career trajectory but once chytil is fully developed a fair comparison is barkov

i am indeed not a rangers fan, just because chytil isnt the exact same player as barkov was at 21 doesnt mean he cant develop into a similar players, takes time with certain players lol, but like i said i guess time will tell
