Tampa declines, and after 2 more years Tampa won’t be letting him walk either. He’ll likely sign his long term deal in Tampa after next season, based on how Brisebois usually handles contracts. Sergachev around 6 or so is about right, unless he takes another step forward this year. Tampa will have a couple million more in cap space from the projected rise to 83.5 at that point, and they’ll gain some space from at least one of Palat or Killorn very likely gone by then. While some of the savings will go to cover Point’s raise, Tampa will have enough to pay Serg, Cirelli and Cernak their raises based on likely contract expectations. There are also other smaller moves where Tampa can save a little if needed, but the point is that Serg is not a player that is being moved. The value isn’t bad in a vacuum, but Vilardi isn’t someone Tampa would probably target anyway, as that’s not a position they are really in need of.
