Thats a realistic Eichel offer. The 3 1st rounder in 2 years is a good selling point for a team starting over. I dont like trading Byron though he's a leader on the team and his salary wont be much of a factor this year as he's out until at least December.

Lol no it isnt. The Sabres dont consider this. The asking price is 2 NHLers, an A+ forward prospect, a 22 1st, and maybe + depending on the value of the NHLers, 4 - 6 pieces total

why is everyone so keen on trading for Eichel???
I know he's very good almost elite but, isn't the whole reason why he's in this mess is because of a botched neck surgery and rehabilitation? Doesn't he still have injuries which he "claims" BUF is screwing up?

I'd stay away from this guy as the asking price is MUCH too high and the risk is MUCH to great - I believe he's injury prone after this.

Whatever team gets him will regret this move IMO

I completely agree: and when I read that a lot fans think he's worth more, I question if they are far enough away from the Sabres to truly grasp the situation. The Sabres have not, at least to our knowledge, let teams see Eichel's medical files and talk to the doctors that deal directly with him. When he's 100% healthy, he may be worth that package. The problem is, he's absolutely not 100% healthy right now, with no way of knowing if he will ever get back to where he was: will he play at his all-star level again? Will he even be able to play again, or will this force him to stop playing? For $10 million per, I would not trade for him unless I see him post surgery and had the chance to discuss his condition with his doctors.

This is a mess. I am curious to see, if and when he does get traded, what the cost actually is. Terrible situation for fans of Buffalo. It's not fun.
