They’d get hella close to the playoffs if they added Tarasenko and probably Sanderson mid season. If they had .910 goaltending last year they probably would’ve been right on the edge of the playoffs

Buffalo will be dead last. I’d debate Ottawa > Detroit who are probably still trying to tank. I have them finishing 5 or 6th in the division right now without adding anyone.

I think you are underrating them. I expect guys like Stutzle , Tkachuk, Norris , Zub , Chabot, Batherson to all play even better.

Then you got Pinto. When they added him at the end of the season , they barely lost any games. He was very good on both sides of the puck and played the PK. If he can fill that 2C spot, the team will be much better than everyone expects. That’s what I’m saying if they can add someone like Tarasenko, him and Stutzle could focus on offence while a guy like Pinto wins faceoffs and focuses on a 200ft game. The team can very much surprise.

We’ll see. Had they played Zub from the start of the year and got average goaltending , they actually would’ve made the playoffs last year. Kinda funny everyone saying the division was weak when everyone Ottawa had faced , actually made the playoffs the year before. And they all got better.

Why wouldn’t he waive? He’s said he doesn’t trust the Blues organization anymore after how they botched his shoulder surgeries, and asked for a trade. It sounds like anywhere is better than St. Louis for him, and Ottawa can give him a big opportunity on a sheltered scoring line, while also taking the full cap hit, which no contender can do.
