And sending a chytil and or Jones plus an nhl player and a 1st is hardest trading the farm. And if they add Zib to the trade it’s Zib Jones and a pick. Chytil strome Jones and 1sts are not the farm and for eichel it would be worth it

It would likely cost one of Lundkvist or Chytil + Georgiev + 1st for Hertl

You think that much? I don't know. The guy is expiring and doesn't fit with the Sharks for a long term plan based off of their financial commitments. They may be in a take what they can get category. I can't see him re signing there.

We're not "taking what we can get" for one of the best Centers in the game. Trust me, if he is moved the package will be 'outstanding'

Oh boy, one of the best centers in the game? He's a solid center. That list is very long in front of him. He's a UFA on a team with pretty much no chance of contending for a few years. He's exactly the type of player that gets moved for any assets possible. Hertl is better than Taylor Hall, but look at the trade deadline trade for Hall.

Thanks for telling me nothing I didn't know. Anything to offer other than 'solid' and 'long list in front of him'. I like stats and his stats tell me he's one of the best 30 centers in the league. Please tell me why he's not with actual evidence. Hall is not a Center so this comparable is not even remotely comparable.

It was never about one of us being right. Instead of just telling me he's not one of the best, tell me why. I respect opinions if there are statistics backing them up

You seem to be rather low on a great player who is a high 2C at worst if not a 1C. He’s not going for whatever San Jose can get. For comparison look at the deal that got Ristolainen. They are similar age and cap hit on the last year of their deals, however Hertl is a much better player and a center. That deal was a player (Hagg), a first and a second round pick. Hertl will go for at least a first and an A prospect, not minimal assets.
