Why would Islanders do that? Taking a risk on Drouin against a steady Winger 20+ Goals... and another C prospect behind signed: Barzal, Pageau, Nelson... KK is behind all of them... wrong target

I wouldn't make either trade, but that's probably not enough for Dvorak and too much for Beauvillier.

Beauvillier is an upgrade on Drouin, but KK is potentially the best player in the deal, and if you move him it has to be for a legitimate top 6C.

People are proposing too much for Dvorak, imo. This is reasonable, but I've seen too many bigger offers to believe others would share that sentiment.

Idk why people are hooked on Quebec and Area Born players but lets drop it, adding KK is flat out dumb. Let the kid grow, he was around .5PPG in his 1st season as the youngest player in the NHL, in two shortened seasons he has been mediocre but has shown his skill, especially in the playoffs. Why are habs fans ready to already give up on a kid that's just a month removed from turning 21.

Wouldn't say Barzal JGP and Nelson are prospects anymore

I think both trades are losses for the Habs.

Dvorak should be around Pageau trade value which was a 1st, 2nd and 3rd rounder. Difference is that Pageau is much better defensively and Pageau had gotten above the 40 point mark. This is close to that so I'd say it's proper value but rather just stick with the youth.

I agree with Rico above about the Isles trade. They don't need KK, we do, Drouins a risk but KK could be the best player in the trade in a couple years so it's a no from both sides

That's why I specify legitimate top 6C in a KK trade.
We already failed Weber and only have so long to get Price a cup, not to mention others like Petry and Gallagher.
KK may require more time to secure 2C, so it's logical to consider someone else if we're hoping to make the most of this season. We may lose the trade in the long run, but sometimes you need to make moves which benefit you in the short term.
Ideally KK steps up and negates any need to consider someone else. The next best plan would be to pick up temporary help without including him.
It has to be the right move to justify including him in a trade though, and that's not Beauvillier.

So the plan is to trade away a possible elite 2C thats 21 years old for a career 2C in Arizona thats 25 and carries more cap then KK will get/want.

The trade is essentially giving up 2 1st 2 2nds and Belzile for another LW we don't need and a guy who yes would fill the 2C role but is 4 years older and is potentially already at their ceiling.

Just doesn't make sense, and no one failed weber, every year he's been here our team wasn't picked to be close to a finals appearance. It sucks he is likely done cause he deserves a cup but to say a team that was never built to win failed him is bold.

for Price he has been failed, he was the best goalie in the world for a good 5-8 year span and the GMs gave him nothing while he gave his everything to those teams and still dragged them to the ECF

I am not saying that they are Prospect... adding KK make no sense having these 3 ahead of him against a steady 20+ G winger

I was actually suggesting we don't trade KK, but if we did it would have to be for someone that is of higher quality than Dvorak.

Bergevin has failed Weber. He had 10 years and failed to produce a champion calliber team. Part of that wasted in the foxhole and favoring vets over developing youth.
