Clearly not a sabres fan. Our rhd today are- jokiharju (who the team likes), miller (last year of deal, probably gone at deadline), and mark pysyk (who is so good as a defenseman that he got played on the wing last year). I dont know what jokiharju costs, hes not really on the table right now, but it isnt a pair of 3s.

Regardless of what fan you are - why would the Canes (or any team for that matter) actually send assets to acquire Myers? He’s a cap dump and for anybody to take a long term bad contract on they’d have to send prime assets back while receiving nothing of value other than shedding the actual contract and getting cap space back. Awful trade.

Caps also aren’t going to send a retained Wilson for some futures when they’re likely in their last few years of legitimate contention. Another awful trade.

Well you somewhat answered it. The canes make moves for d all the time. They clearly aren’t scared off by contracts at all. There track record shows it. They would definitely make a move if they got the chance.

What does that have to do with it? They’re not sending assets for a cap dump. Point blank.
