Golyshev isn't getting 7 figures. The reported contract for Cizikas is 6×2.5 that's why every isles acgm has that contract. (Also Eller, Faksa, and Lowry are all 3Cs where Casey is a 4C). Beauvillier is gonna get 4-5×4-5. Hes getting a lot more than 3 (personally I think it's 5×4.5).

Obviously Cizikas is equivalent to those guys, but only because they acquired Pageau he's playing a 4C role. But if that's the reported amount, it's completely fine.

I'd take a punt and said that if Golyshev isn't getting that sort of contract he'll just pull out and head to Russia. He'd get the money there.

Golyshev is an interesting situation I'm really notsure what to think. But I don't think Lou will give him more and if he goes back to Russia so be it.
As for Casey he's played 4C his whole career. "The best 4th line in hockey" was him martin and Clutterbuck. Last year 3C was a mix of Brassard and bailey, hell even Cole Bardreau got a few games.

I'd still say Cizikas is equivalent to those three mentioned before - Trotz just didn't want to break that line.

It's not like Gourde is only a 3C in most teams of the league, but he fit the best for that role in TB. In Kraken he's probably their 1C.

Gourde is a 3C on any contending team. As for Eller and Lowry they're much better offensively than Casey.

yes we need the cap space so if hes going 3-4 mil is all thats coming back

I actually wouldn’t be surprised if Golyshev got something in the range 1.25-2 mill x 2. He’s definitely an NHLer, but he probably won’t get a starting role right away and it gives him incentive to stay. There will be injuries and he’ll get his shot to prove himself eventually.
