Chara and and Greene cannot be in the lineup at the same time

Why?

Because they are both among the worst skating defenseman in the league and they can’t move the puck either. Add in Mayfield who also is strictly a stay at home guy who’s not a great skater, it’s a recipe for disaster

Pulock & Dobson are more than capable of being that guy.

The main issue is everyone that was available via trade or UFA are now signed so unless they fill the spot from within? Chara is the only viable option unless Lou has something in the hopper no one is even thinking about which very well may be the case unless they internally think Salo can fill the spot.

Lemme tell ya right now, if Bailey came over in this trade (he won't), there'd be no chance the Blues also take on Leo.

There are plenty of D better than chara and Greene available in a trade - and they shouldn’t cost much. I think Salo can make the team as well. The point stands though, having both Chara and Greene in the lineup at the same time would be awful. This is a young mans game, they need to fill the 2LD spot with a mobile two way defenseman
