Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

- Debrusk confirmed as the 3LW. His last chance to show what he can do. If not, he will probably be moved at the trade deadline for a middle 6 forward or a defenseman.

- Would like to see Studnicka get a few looks in the lineup at either 2C or 3C. Haula centering the 3rd line will be interesting.

- Lots of variables such as Coyle at 2C, Debrusk's bouncing back, Clifton's development, Carlo's health and the goaltending can make or break this season.

- Dont think Sweeney added enough to the team to take them over the hump and right now this team doesnt look Stanley cup calibre, but time will tell. Going to be an exciting season

He's a wild card. I really hope he gets a chance at 2C with Hall and Smith. That would be fun to watch and allows the Bruins to have a stacked 3rd line of Haula-Coyle-Foligno

Your post was bit more accurate with Wagner at 4RW. Lazar impressed me a lot more last season but hopefully Wags can bounce back

Coyle is good but is lack of acceleration and agilitykill play, he got hands, top speed, size and decent shot and good IQ

Here’s the problem: sadly, i think this season now comes down to studnicka or Sweeney. Either studnicka takes a giant leap forward and is a top six center, Sweeney makes a trade for a center without any cap space, or this team is hooped.

i honestly think this forward group is enough to compete for the cup its the deepest i’ve seen in a long time (if Studs performs as a 2C or if Coyle/Haula can build some great chemistry with Hall/Smith). imo the only position that needs improvement to really put them over the hump is trading for a legitimate top2/4 LD and i dont mind using JD or/and Vaak as the centre piece. Ullmark & Sway is a dangerous 1a/1b tandem

Yup, only need a legit top 4 LD and a top 6 center. That only costs minimum 10 million and a bunch of assets.

You can do a lot more with $26M than sign third and fourth liners. $26M is kind of a lot.

I agree. I was being sarcastic. He did a terrible job in free agency. Third and fourth liners galore, no cap room and no out of the box thinking to improve this team. A Don Sweeney hat trick.

The only dmen i would target this deadline is ekholm and lindholm (if the teams can't extend them) and both can easily be retained below 3mil and both can easily be grabbed if JD or Vaak are the center pieces

Ohhhhh top six center is an absolute dire need. This team cannot compete for a cup without the addition of a number 2 center. The current roster looks like a group that’s deep enough to have a pretty good regular season, and then get their doors blown off the second they play a real team in the playoffs.
