They just cannot afford to have both Eichel and Zib on longterm contracts, it’s unrealistic , won’t fit the cap without moving Kreider or Trouba who also won’t be leaving. It would be the ideal scenario to have both but I just can’t see it working

I think it would be more wise to keep Zib since he should in theory be cheaper and their young guys will need big raises

Then no Eichel. Honestly I don’t even think many teams can fit Eichel in longterm right now. As a Sens fan I would do it but not at a crazy cost.
I would try Brannstrom + Pinto + White and a 1st but the most I’d do would be Batherson + Pinto/Brannstrom + Jarventie/Greig + 1st

I don’t think Montreal will get him. Clearly Buffalo doesn’t like Kotkaniemi or the deal would be almost done already.

Anaheim can offer guys like Mctavish, Tracey, Lundestrom, Steel but clearly won’t part with Zegras or Drysdale.

Calgary would have to be a 3 way sending Monahan elsewhere. Zary/Pelletier and 1sts would have to be in the deal as well

Yeah I am really looking forward to see what the Rangers do this year. Lafrienre is in year 2 and Kakko year 3, I think both should make great strides under gallant and top 6 minutes, not this 12-13 minutes a game that quinn was giving them. I am also really excited to see nils lundkvist, he has all kinds of upside. I completly agree with your assessment that is would be more wise to be smart with there cap and not handcuff themselves with a 10 million dollar Eichel. I would be okay with a Petterson offer sheet though, I could except that.

Penguins would most likely pass on this one. JR is no longer in charge and while two of those picks are late, that's still an overpayment for Reaves. Sullivan refused to play Reaves, so nothing will change now.
