There are Other LHD on the FA market that exceed Dermott so I agree with you. Why trade cost certainty and control for a guy who may leave you the next year and someone who is only a fringe D at this point

That Rangers trade is so bad for Toronto. I dont know why people get so upset that someone plays out the entire contract that they signed to play. If Morgan Rielly gives you the best chance to win, you keep him. You dont just trade him because you "dont want to lose him for nothing"
