Not sure why that would be, since exposing Vladdy is likely an attempt to keep Dunn.

Also, spending that kind of money on Raanta is a waste. He seems to be slipping fast, and Husso will likely be better than him soon anyway.

If they are still planning on moving Dunn, and if Devils are still interested in him after Graves trade, i wonder if this where Fitzy uses his 3rd retention spot.

(One of the reasons GM Fitzy didn’t trade Ryan Murray at deadline was that he wanted to hang onto that 3rd spot in 2020-21 season. Since he traded for Graves, that deal would now come after expansion draft, but before July 28th. Devils fans have been trying figure out what he is up too).

I guess that depends on if you believe Army has been shopping Dunn for a while or not. I think he would definitely pull the trigger on something reasonable if it comes across his desk, and then probably try to add a more defensive guy to play with Parayko on the shut-down pairing.

Valid concern with Raanta - he's always injured, but he has good numbers when healthy. I'd still trust him over most of the other FA goalies, and over Husso at this point.

Husso was better down the stretch, he seems to have figured out the level. I'm not worried about him right now.
