I feel like the Habs and Seattle have smt in place involving Price. I heard what they might do is take him, then trade him back to the Habs, retaining half his salary, and Seattle gets a 1st or something. Just my guess and what I’ve heard

Angela posted some cryptic message on Instagram, stating that "everything is going to make sense". I don't think he'll get taken either, mainly because of the $11M bonus he is owed in September.

    1. We wont need more space.
    2. It will cost more even if we did. Not trading varly for anything under a 1st (and not pick 30 in this crapshoot draft either)

I agree that there must be a deal in place, just not sure if it for them to select Price and trade back a package of players or for them not to select price or like you suggest take Price then return him with some sort of retention. It would be weird if this was even considered without a deal in place.

Yeah exactly, let’s say they take him, trade him back with 50% retention and give them like a 1st and Drouin or something

I am leaning more towards Carey asked for a trade and MB worked out a deal with Francis for a package of players in return.

Oof you think? Idk if price wants to leave that bad, he just had the best playoffs of his life and this team has potential with him. Without him, Allen as a potential starter doesn’t look too good

I think Carey saw what Vegas did after expansion and the fact that it is close to home and his daughter's and with Weber, Danault and Drouin all likely done in Montreal and feels like this team won't be able to go as far in the next couple of seasons. IF a deal was in place for Seattle to take Price you would have to think a package coming back would include a starting goalie and something else maybe Dreidger + Foote or Tarasenko IDK.

Possibly, I’m just not ready to see him leave us😅

I would like to keep Price as well but if he wants to be closer to his family you can't blame the guy lol. I just don't see any other scenario where Price is left exposed. If it is to protect Allen then that's stupid on MB's part. If it's because there is a deal to select Drouin over Price then that makes no sense as to why they didn't have the same deal worked out with Seattle to protect Allen. The only logical conclusion is a deal in place to either select Price for a package coming back or to select Price and send him back with retention for a package of Pucks and prospects
