Eberle Career high in points and goals was 10 years ago 34/42/76. Has never topped 59 pints since joining the Islanders.
Tarasenko carrer high 39/36/75. Just 3 years ago had 33/35/68.

Take out Bortuzzo. Swap Wilde with someone else like Bellows and sure

interesting. I don't give a f*ck what Tarasenko did 3-5 years ago. Unfortunately for him, his shoulder injury has affected the best part of his game, his shot. He was brutal this season and the blues were a better team when he was off the ice. He tanked Schenn/Oriellys numbers.

Eberle had 14 even strength goals this season, which ranked 11th among all wingers. Tarasenko had 2 even strength goals in 24 games and he had trouble getting shots off from prime scoring areas. It's highly unlikely he returns form as a 1st line winger.

If the Isles are going to take the risk on Tarasenko, it will be something like Eberle + Bellows + 3rd for Tarasenko (2mill retained). If not you can keep him and hope he gets taken in the expansion draft!

2. He shot the puck just fine. Watch his playoff goals from last year. He had 2 in 4 games. Eberle had 4 in 19 games.

Why do you hate players that make the blues better?

The reason Isles fans are going to say the Blues are going to need to retain is because the Isles can't take more cap on. This trade adds over 3 million on the Isles side, so even if the deal were to be fair value it literally can not be done without retention.

Nope he didn’t shoot just fine. He was a liability the entire season, the blues can keep him. Isles have no interest in overpaying for damaged goods.

It’s weird that Eberle is so great that it seems like every AGM done by Isles fans trades him away. You can keep the hangman king. Blues will do better for Tarasenko.

There were Isles fans who wanted to trade away Devon Toews after a bad playoffs last season, he finished 11th in Norris voting this season. The numbers don't lie , there's a reason why Eberle finished 11th among all wingers in 5v5 goals this season.

No one is giving up significant assets for a washed up Tarasenko who's due 9.5 mlll in salary. Best case scenario for the Blues is Seattle takes his full contract so the Blues can allocate their money towards better forwards that can play more than 30 games in a season.
