Don't see Detroit trading up for anyone other than one of the two goalies if they are on the board. Look at Dallas at 15, St. Louis at 17, or Nashville at 19 to all be potential trade spots for Detroit. This would put them ahead of Edmonton at 20, who almost assuredly takes Cossa if he's still on the board.

I don’t see NJ looking to trade up to 1. They’re better off making their two picks than using them to move up 3 spots

id say the trade makes sense in a vacuum but i dont see a player worth the trade that i wouldnt gamble having fall to the devils at 4. unless the devils are head over heels for beniers or power I think they say no.

I really like that DET-EDM deal. That package should outbid MIN. I think they both want Cossa (if DET doesn't take Wallstedt at no. 6). And it also makes sense for EDM. Their next selection is in 4th round and they sould not wait for Cossa to develop - found a quicker solution and don't be wasting McDraisaitl's top years anymore, damn.
