I don’t think the Ducks would offer or accept this deal, solely because Zegras is their future and their first rounder is the third selection in the draft. However, I do think that the Ducks have other players with value that they would give up instead of Zegras and the 1st.

No worries then.... without either Zegras or the 1st Round Pick I do not see GM Adams moving Capt. Jack to the Ducks. I guess I just do not understand how terrible of a hockey player Jack Eichel is....

I’m not saying that the value that the Ducks are offering should decrease.. I just don’t think the Ducks would offer (potentially) the most two important pieces of their franchise for one player. I think if the Ducks were really going for Eichel, they would probably give up one or the other and add some other pieces to make up for the other, if that makes any sense.

Ducks will not be moving Zegras

It’s not about not understanding value of eichel, it’s understanding the ducks would never make that offer

I can’t imagine the Sabres accepting a trade with the Ducks without both the #3 pick and Zegras included. The rest is negotiable. Neither the #3 pick nor Zegras will ever be as good as Eichel. I am against trading Eichel at all, but no one listens to me.

SabresRule I hear what you are saying and I am a lifelong fan and 30+ year season ticket holder and I think it is time to move on from Capt. Jack. He no longer trusts the organization and does not want to play for this organization.

As I posted in my Sabres Team today https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/2508877 I actually think GM Adams should build around Samson as his future Captain by signing him to a long-term deal. At present he is very sour but he has a legit basis for his sourness.... he has yet to be paid by the organization or committed to by the organization. He would stay if the Sabres organization made it about him. Show him the money and love!!!!

I also put a trade with the Ducks that does not include Zegras.
