These arguments are getting old. Look, teams will make trades based on what they are trying to accomplish with the team they have. This idea of “oh, Boqvist is going could be a top 4 defenseman” or “Dach could end up being a top 6 center” is utterly ridiculous. If Chicago is trying to win with Kane and Toews then they very well may find it worth trading these two for Jones. Neither one of Boqvist or Dach are better than Jones right now. These two may not get much better than they are now and that pick could be a bust. If Chicago were to go on and win a cup or two then who wins the trade?
