That Gibson trade is really bad for the Ducks. I have to second the opinion that Drysdale isn’t really the player Buffalo wants. Granted if he is available and Zegras isn’t then I guess they would just have to take him. They will have plenty of defensive assets they could trade for Forwards. Of course we have been told all year that neither player is in play for Jack Eichel.

All of Rakells value was when he had term on his deal and ANA wasted it by keeping him too long. Considering how cheap players are in UFA at this point Ana might get a low 1st for him if they are lucky but not sure how much more unless they wait until the TDL and he has a strong year

Anaheim won't be trading Gibson unless they get back at least two of (1) high-scoring forward roster player or prospect, (2) quality RW, and (3) quality RD. We won't trade Gibson for just one of those because that's just opening one hole to close another. And the suggested trade doesn't answer a single one of those needs. Think combinations of Holloway/Yamamoto and Bear/Bouchard with one additional first-round pick value.
